Over the past few years there have been several Alzheimers advancements. Alzheimers disease is a debilitating brain dysfunction that slowly destroys peoples brain cells. People with Alzheimers disease have difficulty functioning in ordinary life. Many Alzheimers patients suffer from delusions, hallucinations, memory loss, disorientation, anger and frustration.

Treatment and Alzheimers Advancements
Alzheimers is not only terrible for the people who suffer from it, but for their families. It is emotionally draining when a loved one like a parent cannot even remember who you are. Unfortunately, there is no cure for Alzheimers and medical treatments can only do so much. Most of the treatments available for Alzheimers only help in the early stages of the disease.

Many of the Alzheimers advancements have occurred in the discovery of alternative treatments. One of the most effective alternative Alzheimers treatments is called Huperzine-A. Huperzine-A is a substance that has been extracted from moss and has improved symptoms of Alzheimers in patients who were far along in the disease. Gingko biloba is another popular herbal remedy for treatment. Ginkgo is known to help to improve circulation, thereby improving memory in some Alzheimers patients. Coenzyme Q10 is another alternative remedy that is used because of its anti-oxidizing affects.

Other Alzheimers advancements and treatments are the introduction of glyconutrients. Studies show that several Alzheimers patients who have been given large doses of glyconutrients on a daily basis experienced improved memory and reversal of many other symptoms. Many of these patients are quite far along in their disease.
